If you have the A340E or A340H, you don't have to waste time trying to check the TPS, your transmission will do it for you! http://personal.utulsa.edu/~nathan-b...34electron.pdf Just check the voltage on the Tt terminal per the manual. On the V6, testing the TPS is a real chore because of the orientation of the connector. By using the transmission diagnostics, you not only verify the TPS operation, but also that it is communicating correctly with the computer.

Note you can use that same terminal while driving to read out which gear you are actually in, and whether the lock-up is on.

And if you want to do any work on your truck, get a multimeter of your own. I use it more than my torque wrench(es). There are better ones, but this one will do everything you need. http://www.harborfreight.com/7-funct...ter-98025.html
