That could be an issue unless you are good with wiring. Depending on the differences you might have to modify or even make your own fuse box.

after completely rebuilding a 22r in an 87, ill say not much wireing lol

all i can think of, as far as wiring, is:

- gauges/sensors
- ignition
- starter
- alternator/battery
- lights

anything else?

You're in deeper than I can help there. I have no concept what would be require to convert that block to FI.


Got your pm, unfortunately, I didn't take many pictures of things, and both toyota motors have gone off to scrap a couple years ago. A Chevy V6 lives in that engine bay now.


When you say "Turbo EFI", are you referring to the part that actually says that on it (upper intake manifold)? or the whole system?

Yes when I say turbo EFI, i mean the throttle body and intake that bolts on to the block. Using the wiring harness that is was stock for the turbo motor. So basically I have installed the long block of the 22r and the EFI system of the 22ret. I am going to purchase new injectors/gaskets and see what happens.
