Let me ask yall this...

Will the MC Valve, Thermo Valve, HIA Diaphram cause my truck to run like this?

Where is the fuel return line located??

Another problem I am having is when the engine goes from high RPMS to low RPMS it stalls. I am wondering if alot of my problem isn't a carb adjustment

the HAI diaphram is that cold start/run intake thingy I was trying to think of...
as you can see from 4runnerx3s posts you are missing a heck of a lot vacuum hose goodies... If it were me I'd go after that butcher who had it previously with a posse and a noose lol...
FWIW as I recall mine was more similar to 4runner's first diagram...

Ok this is a ing mess. I am tired of trying to figure this bulll out so I got a new plan...

I am taking all the crazy electrical and the intake and carb off. I will be getting a new intake and carb and re-doing this the right way. I tried messing with this and figuring it out but I can't and I have no patience for the PO prior bull.

If I see this dumbass again I will break his jaw for doing this dumb and yes I will get yall some pics!!

Sounds like a plan... try to pick-up at least a haynes manual as well if you can't find an FSM it will make the whole thing much easier to deal with. Also watch your torque settings when you're installing the new intake the head is alum. and it really does not like over torqued fasteners, don't ask me how I know...

your plan sounds good. Thats what I did, new intake with a holly carb. got it used. Need like 2-3 vacum hoses, and thats bout it. Every person says get a webber carb. I know there are threads on putting one of those on. Probably easier than figuring yours out. Plus get more power =)

my 87 truck is in the shop right now or id snap some pics for you, tomorrow when i get it back ill take some, maye be sticking a earlier 22r in there, so ill sell all my smog and vacume stuff if u want it.

edit) the passenger side of the motor, has a bunch and bunch of vacume stuff on it, and your missing it all, just stick a weber or holly on it and call it a day. here is a pic with the a/c on, but u can see what a nightamre it is.
