Hello yotatech's, your advice is appreciated

Background:
-just put a new crank, bearings, timing chain on my 22re.
-truck ran fine before the crankshaft broke, damn Japanese metallurgy! (j/k)
-pulled the engine with everything in tact (manifolds, wiring harness etc.)
-I'm sure I got the timing chain right.
-checking with a timing light the distributor is right around where is should be.
-I know the rotor is not 180 off because I set it while looking at the valves.
-I labeled all wires and hoses that did come off and unless i screwed up (possible) everything went back in right
-ECU diagnostic mode throws a code 11 pointing to throttle position sensor


when everything was back together i'd crank the engine and it would not even begin to start.

With starter fluid the engine would start but die as soon as i stopped giving it fluid

Without starter fluid I could get the engine to start and run by taking the air hose off and placing my hand over the throttle body while my friend cranks the ignition, when I take my hand off the throttle body releasing the suction behind it the truck would fire up then hesitate and die. By repeatedly covering and uncovering the throttle body I can keep it running but it dies as soon as I stop.

my next step is to check the TPS per Roger Brown's instructions

A couple thoughts were I moved the ground from the bolt where the hook for hoisting up the engine is behind the exaust manifold to one of the egr bolts on the back of the head ( other bolt broke off)

any advice appreciated

check if AFM flapper door moves freely? check efi fuse under driver kick panel
