Got 2 ...1 is broke the other idk if it works or not. Gonna patch it up soon every thing from the tranny x member back is tin can thin. I Think she was used to launch a boat a lot

If I can find a frame cheap i'll swap it but 84-85 frames are kinda rare here in fla. you can find the ifs frames and 79-83 frames occasionally but I don't know what will work and what won't. So at the moment it will be scabbed. But I won't be putting it on the road for a while except for maybe the 13 miles of back road to where I hunt and even then it will be safe before i try it. I recently inherited a crew cab dodge that I'm using as a daily driver to and from college.

You'd just need to finish doing an SAS and then make the cab mounts work.

I'm in North West FL. My truck was used to launch boats a lot, and the bed is almost completely gone due to rust. But my frame isn't near as bad as yours, just some surface rust.

Mine is all surface rust on the outside with scaley rust eating from the inside.mines also on its 2nd bed lol I think its oil leak saved the front half of the frame from rust.
The scaley rust on mine is only really bad just behind/under the cab before the frame bends up.
Patch the 2 frame holes and add some metal to the gas tank cross member n fix/buy the rear brake system and I'd have no fear drivin it anywhere

The truck has been parked in my back yard for a few years (12, yes, I know).
Haven't quite decided how I'm going to fix it. I always wanted a 4Runner, so may use the 4Runner panels from ToyotaFiberglass, but now that they are going to start making US bed sides I may go with those and make a walk thru cab.
Need to get the bed off and strip the frame and put POR15 on it.

Heres my 84, typical bed rust. Parked right now waiting on time and money for a timing kit. I haven't quite decided on what to do about the rust, still researching. Have looked at the flatbed option, not sure. I have a 89 bed that is in good shape and I have seen people do that swap before and it really doesn't look bad at all, may end up going that route. Thankfully though the frame is still very solid.

Sorry, this is pretty much all I have anywhere on the car, a bit of surface rust under the seats.
Truck has been in socal all its life. Oh, and I fixed it today.
