getting custom drive shafts made - need some help with specs

84 4runner

So I've got a dual tcase setup and a 22r engine in the truck at the moment. I've got the double cardan joint for the rear shaft as well b/c the truck is lifted with wabfabs classic lift 4" front and 5" rear. I just got the w56 and duals installed a couple nights back and need to give the driveshaft shop a call. What besides the length the shaft needs to span, what kind of specifics should I ask/look for in the custom driveshafts (front and rear). I will be sure to make sure they are balanced. Any input/advise would be great. I also plan on putting in a 5vzfe (supercharged) or something with similar power output.

Measure flange to flange.
You need a long slip shaft up front.
Tell them you have a very flexible front suspension and don't want it to come apart.
Rear shaft should be fine with the stock spline, the front..no

Measure flange to flange at the same spot.
10" slip spline up front.

FYI: I can have 5 or 6 equivalent d shafts built locally for what Tom Woods charges for one.

Nobody around me to build a drive shaft. I would either have to ship mine off, or drive three hours to the closest drive shaft shop. and I was quoted $350 to weld in and balance a longer tube in my yokes. Tom woods is charging me $450, for a heavy walled double cardan, shipped. I didnt think that was to bad.

Taking them down in a few hours. We have several options down here for driveshafts (spokane), so hopefully the prices are decent. Any input on wall thickness or any of that kind of stuff?

spces: 84 4runner, w56, two top shift cases, tg duals, stock axles, wabfab classic lift (4" front, 5" rear)

For anyone curious (your measurements will not be the exact same as mine, but it will give you an idea):

Front (flange to flange) 36"
Rear (flange to flange) 40.75"

Same lift on mine, just not the doubler. I measured 47.25" from flange to flnge on the rear, semi loaded. I was not able to get the compressed measurement, which they were not worried about. I went with .120 wall. Which will still dent. If you pointed the rear diff at the t case, make sure to get a double cardan on the front. Other wise the geometry will not be right.

I will post up. I have the double cardans, no worries there. They may be done tomorrow.

It was 168 retubed, balanced, and painted combined for both. How long are your splined sections on your driveshafts? I can't recall, but it seems that I got two of the shorter (if front/rear are different lengths) sections on the diff sides for mine (I can't remember what I all brought in now that I think of it).

edit: can I get these lengthened the splines or do I have to purchase new ones? If I can get longer ones will the the current tubing on the other side of my DS be sufficient? I had told the guy that I needed longer travel DS's, but I'm not quite sure he understood or maybe missed that bit somehow. What kind of length do you guys recommend up front and back for the setup I have? truck is lifted with wabfabs classic lift 4" front and 5" rear and running duals.
