no one will smog my truck
i have a 1980 toyota hilux with a 1981 22r and a weber 32/36 for california that i installed. no one will smog me 2 people said they cant smog me with the carb i have. one guy said i dont have enough vacuum hoses... and the other said you can only pass smog with a stock carb... the third said i need to go get a sticker from a referee because i have an engine swap.

exempt year is '74, you will need to smog it. the last one is right. if you swap a motor (as long as its newer then the model year of the truck) you need a ref to ok it, then you need al the factory smog equipment from the year of the motor and your good to go.. get it checked out.

so is my webber gonna be ok? does it cost money to get the sticker? kinda lookin for someone who will just fudge it at this point i think my trucks been illegal for 2 months.

In California, the vacuum lines have to be hooked up. You will fail with Weber unless it is CARB certified. Having a 22R in a truck that originally came with a 20R will require a visit to the referee as stated above. I believe the smog equipment will have to match the 22R when going to the referee, so you will need a 22R carburetor and matching smog equipment for the truck it came out of.
