Question Just curious what ya'll are running for timing??

I have an '82 22R with Weber 32/36, header, and 268C Torker cam from EB and I've always kept my timing at around 8 degrees BTDC. This weekend however, I was washing and re-oiling my K&N filter and checked timing / idle speed. I bumped the timing up to about 12 degrees BTDC and dropped the idle speed on the carb a little to bring it back down to 800 RPM. Took it for a test drive and it seemed a little more peppy, I listened carefully for any signs of detonation under load and there was none, so I'm gonna run it and see how it goes for awhile. So, what is everyone else setting their timing at?? Just curious to see how much variance there is among us.

I been running mine at 12 BTDC. This works best with a higher octane gasoline, you will feel a bigger dfference with 91.
