Can you identify these Intake Manifold sensors?

Calling all yota-pro's:

I'm in the final stretch of finishing this swap and I need to find these three sensors. I also need to figure out exactly what they do. I believe they're temperature sending units (judging by the fact that they're on the water neck) but the FSM I have (doesn't help that it's for an 85) doesn't do a great job of outlining exactly what sensor is what and what each one's function is.

I have searched high and low on the Yotatech servers...

Also, if you have a spare of any of these, I will gladly take it off your hands. Along those same lines- if you know where I could source these bad boys, I'm all ears. Toyota basically gave me a handshake and wished me luck. Could've just been this parts counter, but they were of no help.

Thanks kiddos!
Zach

Aha. Key factors aren't they? My bad. It's an 82 truck and the sensors are off the old intake manifold. Just swapped in a brand new 22R.

Does this help....or look remotely close? It does look like a few on the part numbers are not available, but maybe with the number you can find alternatives.

Ha, you're killing me man- let's keep it all in this thread for my poor computers sake!

That's the diagram I have and the two sensors that seem to correspond with mine are
89428 and 89427 right next to each other, then the possible 83420 off kind of by itself. But the catch is- I'm not sure which is which and if those are even the right sensors...

It's really hard to discern from the picture where exactly those sensors end up, ya know? The diagram just kind of puts stuff in the middle of the air ha.

I agree.....my hope is that someone familiar with that engine will look at the pics and chime in.

Haha, I did not realize it was two threads. Cut, paste.....my bad. I'll edit the other one.

Ha- no sweat man. Me too, but unfortunately tonight I gotta crash out! It's my bedtime here on the east coast! Things I hate: work. Night yotamates.

Gentleman and a scholar you are. Now to find them... The good news is, other than the temp sending units, they're pretty meaningless. The REALLY broken one I have (the one on the bottom right of the pic, closest to the front of the motor that looks sheared off) is for the high idle on start up. Also known as the BVSV.

For all interested, and future reference:

From the ttora thread (edited slightly for clarification):

"The 2 vacuum hoses are for your high idle controller. The hoses run from the manifold to the air valve (BVSV-the one that is broken). After the water temp is up past the warm up temp, vacuum is then allowed past the valve and it will pull the actuator that will pull a locking arm from the stepped down control arm that is attached to the throttle arm on the carburetor. This will allow the throttle valve to close, and the throttle return spring will then close the butterfly valve to the idle stop position. If your truck idles fine, but does not have a high idle when it is warming up (factory set at around 2K RPM), then this system has been bypassed."

Word.

The other two sensors are temp sending units #1 and #2 (before the thermostat opens and after it opens). Both of these are responsible for readouts to your gauge in the cabin. The easiest diagram to see all of these sensors in the right place is the vacuum diagram out of the FSM. Not so ironically, the last place I would've looked.

Thanks rworegon! You sir are a champ!

I have managed to break off my BVSV as well, based on the descriptions it wasn't working to begin with! Let me know if you find out where to buy one. I am going to scour the junk yards. Worst case I'll just super glue the broken part on so the smog tech doesn't get all pissy.
