83 Brake Booster DD Upgrade Question

To start off, I have a 1983 1st generation 4x4 TRAILBLAZER that I recently picked up. I have read everything concerning this upgrade posted here, on Pirate, and Ih8mud. I have a parts 90 4Runner 4x4 V6 that has a good booster. I tried this booster and it hits the steering joint and also will not work with the clutch booster. The studs are also too short to use the aluminum spacer. I found the NAPA part number listed in a post on Pirate for a DD that is 8 1/2 like the one it had on it but my guy at Napa says he can't find one.
It appears that anything but an 8 1/2" booster will not work?
SO - I need to know EXACTLY what year, part number etc. will either fit in that space OR which one will work with the spacer and has LONG ENOUGH studs.
Is there one bigger than 8 1/2" that will work?
I would appreciate any specific help that can be offered.
Thanks

What's a "Clutch booster?" You mean the clutch master cylinder?

Nonetheless, you want to find a stock brake booster and then put the bigger 1" bore master cylinder from a later pickup on it.

But why do you want the upgraded brakes? Did you do a rear end disc brake conversion? You will also mostlikely need an adjustable load proportioning valve and a residual valve.

Ok. Clutch master cylinder. I'm watching football and typing. I originally got on this because my booster is bad. I wanted to use the other since I had it. I started searching and figured I would try it so here I am. I may
Just go back with what the standard single diaphram but I thought I would see what others have been successful with.

Yeah, I'm not totally sure what booster will fit without modification, but I know that the larger master cylinder will fit on the stock booster. If you want more information you might want to ask Corey (Slacker) or Don (Suncomb) on here. They both know a lot about upgrades such as this.

You need to look for one out of a 22RET truck/4Runner. It's a dual diaphragm booster, that has the appropriate depth/width to fit the 1st Gen pickups. I'd like to get one myself..

Booster

Well after a lot of digging and research, I believe I have found a solution. In a post on Pirate 4x4 somebody stated they had found a larger DD booster in a junkyard that DID have the longer studs and the same aluminum spacer that our 1st generation trucks came with. He also stated that he was able to mount this one up with no issues. I took a 9 3/4 booster I have from a 90 4Runner and placed the spacer on it and put it in place. I can't use this one because the studs are way short and it hits the steering shaft and the clutch master without the spacer, but I was able to see that the one that has longer studs and can use the spacer WILL clear.
I did some searching on the NAPA site, Rock Auto, and the Cardone sites where I was able to use the same criteria as the poster on Pirate to find a larger DD booster that will work.
I ordered one from Rockauto. It is part number 532785.
The vehicle that this fits is a 1993 Toyota P/U, Cab/chasis RWD with a 3.0.
I will post up the final result after I get it mounted up.

I am assembling an 82 I purchased yesterday (garaged 12 yrs with 83k miles) I need to go through the brakes so would like to know your results. Also curious about caliper/disc swaps on front, plenty more searching to do and a lot of parts to buy. Thanks!

I think this is probably a good upgrade, but without bigger brakes, it only does so much...
