83 4x4 motor mount fitment issue

I just bought an 83 4x4 last week and it needed to have the motor mounts replaced. I bought a set anchor mounts from oreiley's a few days ago and they didn't fit at all. The holes on the frame side were off by about 1/4 in. I looked around and read somewhere that some of the first gens had narrower mounts like the celica type. Has anyone had this problem before? Does anyone have any suggestions as to where to get a set that will work? I can go to the bomb proof ones if I have to , but I don't want the extra vibration if I don't have to.

I tried a cheap set myself and returned them and trust me you don't want a bomb mount if your using as a daily driver I went ahead and spent the money and got the real OEM mounts from LC engineering

the rubber is shot on my old ones, they let the engine lope hard while I'm driving.
Catfish, where the ones you got a pair or singles? I looked on LCE briefly at work.

My T-G mounts are fine even with dual cases using 4xInnovation t/c mounts. I don't notice much more vibration

I bought mine online somewhere...but they said OEM. They are the same as the stock ones, where cheap, and fit perfectly. I usually just do an internet search and include toyota or oem in the search to make sure I'm finding places that stock real Toyota or equivalent parts.

I had the same problem and found out the guy at the parts store ordered 2wd motor mounts. The box said they were transmission mounts. I went to a differnt store and they ordered the right ones. It was the same part number and all. I think it was Anchor brand mounts.

The ones I got from the store were anchors, but they were listed for both 4 and 2 wheel drive. I switched them from side to side and it got rid of the lope for now. It's just temp until I can get a set from lcengineering.
