81-83 2JZ-GE/GTE Swaps?
I have a 1982 Toyota Pickup, I'm starting to piece together my 2JZ build, but it seems I can't find any info on a swap 3rd gen pickup. I would love to see/read about someone elses build on a 81-83 pickup. If someone could point me in the right direction it would be awesome.
Thanks guys.

If you're doing this on a 2wd I would check out customtacos.com honestly. I know for a fact that they've done it on 2nd gen pickups but I'm sure someone has done it to a 1st gen as well. It could look pretty slick set up and dressed right. Good luck!

I absolutely think it can be done as well. I would imagine you're going to have to scoot the firewall a nudge. There are some videos on YouTube of a 2jz 2nd gen pickup that is a 9 sec (or close to it) drag car. That thing is back to the future fast....but that would be a swap to end all swaps lol.

what are you looking at for the driveline? My thoughts is the only driveline that will take that power easilly, and not need a bunch of adapters, will be the factory supra driveline. If you have a complete car your set, but if you have that...just build that supra...

A friend of mine here has a 80's model RX-7 with a 2JZ powered by a 88mm fun fan, a little bit of silly spray, 350 trans and a ford 9inch rear end... hes running 4.80's in the 8th. Stupid fast. If all that can be squeezed into an rx-7 I know I can do it with my truck, I just would really like to find another one (81-83) thats been 2J swapped.
