78 Toyota Camper sitting for 3 years

i live in florida and just got back from seeing my uncle in Alabama and i convinced him to give me his 1978 Toyota Camper with the 4 speed 20r engine it has been sitting for 3 and a half years because the fuel pump went out and he never got around to fixing it i am going back up there to fix it up abit and drive her back home (820 miles) i believe it only has 106k on it
my question is what do you think i need to do/replace before i take the trip home

Drain the fuel.

Check and/or replace all fluids. Definitely change the engine oil. But at least check the tranny and axles to make sure they're full. Antifreeze, too.

Might need a new battery, but maybe it'll hold a charge. Spray a lot of carb cleaner in the carb.

That's what comes to mind for me. I'm sure you'll get more advice.

Welcome to Yotatech!

Belts and hoses - Dry Rot! Check the tires for cracks as well. Flush brake fluid, as it can go bad after 1 year of sitting. Fuel filter.

Looks awesome to me.

The internet is your friend. I doubt very much that someone here is going to know off the top of their head what your tire size is. They're going to search. Which you can do, too. Or call your local tire shop. Or ask Toyota. The info is out there.

i've run a nissan sentra on 4 year old gas before. Just throw some fresh gas in there, fresh tune up and change engine oil.

Interesting. So are the tires on it the wrong size? If there's any manual in there, it should say. It might even say on the door jamb? I don't remember...Try some internet searching. I'll bet it's out there.

same tires as a toyota pickup.. def wanna get a pickup load range or better cause the back is heavy... is it a dually??? in canada we had 4x4 campers i used to love seeing those as a kid....

could use a wash looks like but with some tlc she will be mint again... the body looks in great shape!

should still be able to find part for 20r or 22 r on the internet... if you do have to replace engine i would put a 22re 5 spd in its place...

def check the rad hose's and put fresh gas in it... maybe a can of seafoam to help clean the carb.. new plugs but the wires are probably ok... also cap and rotor?? basically all the cheap insurance stuff i would atleast get and have with you with a tool kit for the ride home just incase. bring a grease gun and give the u joints a pump..
