4 wire plug on 22r carb

I just swapped out the 20r in my 80 hilux for a 22r from an 81 hilux. i got the motor in and it runs but real rough. it ran good in the othe truck. the 4 wire plug coming off the carb is disconnected righ now. the carb that was on the 20r had a 2 wire plug for the fuel gut solinoid. in my searching i found that 2 of the 4 wires on the 22r carb are for the fuel cut solinoid but i never found out what the other 2 are for. I have a feeling that this is the cause of my problem. does anyone know what those other wires are for. one of them is coming from the choke and the other is coming from what could be a solinoid on the front of the carb. i have the plug from the other truck so i could wire it in if i knew what wire go where. also the new motor has a VSV on top of the valve cover with a 2 wire plug coming out of it. the old motor didnt have it so there is no plug for it in the truck or if there is it is being plugged by somthing else. where should i run these 2 wires?
thanks for any help.

ok i got the truck running good enought to drive it on the street but its still not perfect. now it has a pretty bad flat spot as soon as i give it throttle but it comes out of it pretty quick and diesels after i shut it off. im sure one 2 of those wires are for the fuel cut solinoid and i think that might be causing my dieseling. ive tried adjusting the timing and that hasnt worked.

1 electric choke, 1 fuel cut-off 1 vent solenoid and 1 other one which I believe could be a ground but not 100% on it.

thank you. i found this same info a few days ago along with a diagram of the plug and wich ones get power and wich one gets grounded. i ran the wires the way the diagram said and now my truck runs really good but it doesnt want to start for the first time of the day with the power running to those wires. if i unplug them the truck starts right up and once its warmed up i can plug the wires back in and it will stay running good and if i turn it off i can restart it just fine. i have all 3 of the wires running together so i cant isolate the one thats the problem wire yet. what would cause this?

By rights that thing should not run at all without that off since one of those wires is supposed to supply the power to tun the fuel cut-off solenoid.

thats what ive read but mine runs just not verry smoothe. when i connect and disconnect the wire i can hear the solenoid clicking. so i assume its working properly. is there a way that fuel could be leaking past it even tho it functions when when it recieves power?

If fuel pressure is too high I can see it unseating the solenoid. But without power to that solenoid it should not run at all.

i dont have a fuel pressure gague so i dont know what the pressure is but im using a stock mechanical fuel pump. i just assumed that it would flow at the propper pressure but i know from experience what happens when you assume things.
