Unless the throttle linkage and set up is different on a 79 than my 83, I would say that you are missing some parts. In particular, you are missing the throttle bracket that mounts to the valve cover and holds the throttle cable housing. It looks like that bracket was moved to the firewall or something - I can't really tell because the pics are too close.

There's a bracket on the 22r that sits on top of the valve cover to secure the throttle cable but you don't ha e it. I'm not sure if the 20r 2wd had that though

Got home and trying to figure out where all these hoses go. Please forgive me at my lack of know how but I really need some help. I seem to have forgotton how some of the hoses went and I think one of the neighborhood kid got one of my hoses. Are there any pics of a 20r 2wd desmogged cause I cant find any. Heres a pic ofmy evap can and my fuel line. What do I do with the loose line and do I have this hooked up right?

-Distributor vacuum goes to a vacuum port on the carb.
-PCV hose can either go to the triangular block off plate (if it has a fitting on it, which it appears that you do not) or it can go into the fitting that is on your weber air cleaner housing.
-The other hose next to your oil cap can be removed and you can put a breather filter in it's place
-I removed my charcoal canisters all together and just have a return line off of the fuel pump directly back to the tank.
-I also noticed that you don't have a fuel pressure regulator - I'd recommend getting one for that weber since webers like about 3.5 psi

I actually got the plate with the hole for hose but ordered a block off plate from lce cause it was recommended by someone on here. I'll install it tomorrow. Do I need to put the check valve on for my vacuum distributer?

Kawaz I'm gonna do what you said an attach it to the breather or air filter. (pcv)
I'm still lost on what to do with and what to do with thethe hose I lets under my intake and the one on top of the intake. I almost have this done.

Looks good man! As for the holes I would cap them. You've taken all emissions out of play and the Weber has a simplistic install vs the stock so there's gonna be more holes than fittings

Which one do I cap off? I got the heater hose hooked up on the right. what is that one on the left.?

Also what goes on here on top my intake?

And is where this wire goes for my electric choke?

And how do I hook up the canister to my setup? If I wanted to delete it what steps do I follow?

On my 22r the connection for the 12v electric choke is different I believe so it may be correct....but check it with a voltmeter....if it reads as a switched then it's good. I believe the hose on the left is for the brake booster? That's what it seems to be to me but I have been learning a lot as of late.

Kawaz is right about the fuel regulator. The kit from LC is about 89 bucks (ouch) but I just set mine up today and besides having to tune it and redo the floats it runs 100000x better.

Here's a pic to show you what it is. It even has a gauge included so you know what pressure you're running at! The bracket was a re-use of stock stuff. Not sure if you have it but it worked out perfectly.

Well, I cranked it with the new carb on and it cranked right up after a few turns. I guess that wire was correct. The only problem is it dies after bit of ideling. I believe I need that fuel regulator cause I might be getting to much fuel pressure. I have a fuel pressure gauge but mine has the one that attaches to a schrader valve.
How would I check my fuel pressure on this thing? Also I took off that evap fuel can cause I couldnt figure out where to hook the hoses to. Which leaves me with a fuel return line that I will just cap off if applicable.

89 bucks What brand should I get cause Im gonna shop around,

Weber! There's only one brand I would trust with a Weber lol. There are other kits LC offers....but the weber is the cheapest lol. The others are for "high performance" with all kinds of goodies I can't afford.

Actually I was wrong on the price...it's 99 bucks
Here's the link.

Tomorrow I'm tuning mine out as well. I think I'm gonna need to re-jet as well but we will see.
